Re: speed problem.

Have you tried rebooting your router. Changing the gateway you are on may improve things.

Re: speed problem.

Yes.... first thing I did was power everything down, reboot and test again.

Re: speed problem.

Hi there,
I can see from checking your usage that you have just hit the 4gb limit on your account, as such this will be the cause of the slowdown. Having said that your usage will reset on Monday (when you are billed) and speeds should go back to normal then.
Hope that helps,

Re: speed problem.

Sunday morning.....

Does this mean I hadn't been throttled and that something else was wrong, or have Plusnet generously reset my usage a day early?

Re: speed problem.

Your throttling only applies during peak times, so that's 4pm to midnight. Outside of those hours it'll run much closer to line speeds. Your usage is still due to be reset tomorrow.
Hope that helps,

Re: speed problem.

Thanks for the info.
I've been using a couple of Internet radios during the last month or so, I expect that will have bumped up my usage. The stations I mainly listen to stream at 128 kbps.
