speed /noise fault fixed by BT, can I have my iP profile raised please?

Hi guys, if any PN staffers are still about, could someone update my IP profile?
BT guy has been round this afternoon and fixed the noise on my line, he tells me the BRAS is now set to 4500, so please could someone increase the PN IP profile to match?
Ticket no: 33059335 if that helps

Can you try a BT Speedtest and see what that says for your profile? I've done a couple of tests and your profile is showing as 1500 with a sync of 3872.

Re: speed /noise fault fixed by BT, can I have my iP profile raised please?

won't let me right now as It's less than an hour since the last one.
If you look at this routerstats graph you'll see I was synced at 4800 earlier, with snr of 6, then the engineer did something at the exchange which dropped the sync to 3872 and snr went up to 8. It was this sync of 4800 that the guy said was the reason they set the BRAS at 4500.
I was planning on doing a reboot of the router about 9.30 am tomorrow to get the best possible sync then leaving well alone.
The BRAS was certainly 1500 last time I ran the BT speed test but that was before he fixed the problem. He told me over the phone at 5pm that the BRAS was 4500 now- was this a little white lie?

looks like it was an untruth regarding 4500, oh well, will wait for it to increase Cry

Well my BT profile is till 1500 this morning, but my plus net proflie is now 500!
Why?
Can someone please at least increase it to the same as BT.
Seems pointless the fella coming yesterday and sorting out my line if PN are still going to throttle it.
EDIT: now synced at 4160 by the way

Your snyc will doubtless continue to go down as the DML system forces up your SNR, exactly the same problem as me.
I started syncing at 3800 but by the time the DLM had finished I was at 2200..

Well at least my PN profile now matches the BT one of 1500. Syncing at 5088 with snr of 7 and attenuation 42.5 so am hopeful it will all sort itself out over the next few days.

Re: speed /noise fault fixed by BT, can I have my iP profile raised please?

Thanks Mand
Line appears to be nice and stable. Hopefully won't have any more problems.
Incidentally I was part way through an SNR retrain period when the engineer came last week- there had been a period of a few days when it was stable at a decent sync but the SNR was 17. My SNR is now 8.5, attenuation 42.5 (was 36 before the engineer fixed the line- he "swapped a pair" I think)
Would it be worth doing another SNR re-train now, as I have essentially got a new line with new characteristics, or are these stats as good as I'm going to see?
Was thinking I might get a little more speed to get me into the 4500 BRAS profile if the SNR could be held at 6?
Worth a shot or leave alone?

I'd leave it for a little while (the SNR reset would probably be rejected just now due to the recent instability). Try the reset again in a couple of weeks maybe.

Re: speed /noise fault fixed by BT, can I have my iP profile raised please?

Ok thanks for the advice. If it remains stable for a couple of weeks and I would like an SNR retrain, can I just request one through a ticket?
