My spam strategy consists of defined email addresses via alias and mailboxes, with everything else being blackholed (catchall off). This works, I get no spam. If I start to get it, I blackhole the recipient address and define a new one.
However, I am getting spam messages to "username@username.plus.com" (username being replaced by my plusnet logon). In fact all mails in my spam folder (other than ones that have been put there incorrectly - see my other spam related thread) are to this address.
username is neither an alias, nor a mailbox. Why are these mails not being blackholed? How can I get them blackholed?

Have you looked at the headers for the mail in question. The important field is "envelope to". This is the address the mail was sent to, regardless of what's in the "To" field (as this can be spoofed).
If you post the headers from one of the e-malis someone will be able to say exactly what's going on.
This page explains how to get the headers.
