Hi, every 6-8 weeks openreach carry out work on the telegraph pole i'm connected to. We are at the end of the line and only 5 lines are connected to this pole. When work is being carried out there is lots of noise on the line and it will disconnect frequently, thus my noise margin have doubled again and sync is way down.
Before drop out snr was 6db, downspeed 5,600 Kbps
Line state: Connected
Connection time: 0 day, 00:18:11
Downstream: 4,153 Kbps
Upstream: 444 Kbps
ADSL settings
VPI/VCI: 0/38
Type: PPPoA
Modulation: G.992.5 Annex A
Latency type: Interleaved
Noise margin (Down/Up): 12.1 dB / 16.7 dB
Line attenuation (Down/Up): 45.5 dB / 24.8 dB
Output power (Down/Up): 18.1 dBm / 12.2 dBm
FEC Events (Down/Up): 1 / 0
CRC Events (Down/Up): 0 / 0

Which begs the question, what on earth are BT doing working on the pole so frequently?

We can try our best to find out but it might take a little while as we'll have to go outside the usual faults processes to find out. Have you tried speaking with the engineers to find out what they're doing? Also I'm just wondering how many times you've noticed this happen now?
