Re: slower speeds and higher pings "help needed"

I should go and hunt out that alternative modem/router as there is a definite pattern with your problem and the modem/router needs to be eliminated. I'll reply to your PM.

Re: slower speeds and higher pings "help needed"

That last setup page looks ok to me, but what are the options on the drop down box that says AUTO?
That BT speedtester error suggests that Java RTE didn't load/run for some reason.
When you've finished posting and if it seems a bit more settled, make sure your Antivirus is up to date and run a full virus scan as a precaution.
Those previous pings looking OK again.

OK ignore that then, AUTO is fine. I've replied to your previous PM.

Re: slower speeds and higher pings "help needed"

Some advice for when you swap things -
From now on, I recommend that whenever you need to reboot/resync or swap anything - use this Disconnect method -
Do a Disconnect of your PPP Internet session with the ISP - you need to login to the modem/router interface and look for the Disconnect button to click on.
If you can't find one, then the next best thing is to pull the power plug and wait about a minute - not as reliable as doing Disconnect. Don't just pull the line out of the filter/socket.
Now wait a few minutes, power down. Then wait 10 minutes (during this time swap any filters, modem/router, connect to test socket, etc. - it doesn't matter if you take longer than 10 minutes) and then power up again (You may need to login to the modem/router and click on Connect to re-establish the PPP Internet session). Check the stats immediately (The Noise Margin [SNRM] shown is usually the current Target Noise Margin).
I usually recommend you do this no more than 5 times in an hour,  less if you haven't got a Disconnect button to use, and then leave it alone for the rest of the day.
Remember the reason for this procedure is to help prevent the Exchange DLM from thinking you have a dropping connection (or a worse one than you may have).
Also note, you can use the Disconnect/Connect (without a power down) to Gateway hop.
Edit: I take it postie hasn't arrived with new modem/router yet!

Re: slower speeds and higher pings "help needed"

ive checked and it says its near by and out for delivery, its coming by home network or somthing. I would like to test new router before trying anymore tests on this tp-link as it has no disconnect options on it. Ive used netgear in the past and i know thye do have the options for that.

Re: slower speeds and higher pings "help needed"

Run these test before new router comes .. connections still very much up and down atm.

Seams very poor at the moment again, i think my connections up and down at all times of the day not just evenings.

Re: slower speeds and higher pings "help needed"

Well the sync rate is reasonable, so this is likely a router problem, but the new one will sort that out if it is.

Re: slower speeds and higher pings "help needed"

I guess ill have to wait 24 hours before i can give a better review on if the new router has fixed the issues.
