Hi
When I transfer files using sftp and filezilla from work to home, it now only transfers at around 300KBps.
My connection at home can download files from the web at around 3.2MBps
Our work connection has a gaurenteed upload of 2MBps but can usually burst to around 4MBps
Any ideas?

can you please confirm the units as, unless you are on fibre, the download from the web would be 3.2 megabits per sec and if the transfer speed measured from work is 300 kilobytes per sec then this is equivalent to 2.4 megabits per sec

Not sure if this will help, but I had the exact similar result last year. My Sftp client suddenly dropped to 300Mbps. But that was also on transfers within my LAN!
What solved it for me was changing the client I was using. Try another client and compare settings. I use WinSCCP and speeds are correct.
Sometimes it can be be the software you use, or an issue on the client you're connecting from, or the server you're connecting to, that throttles you, not the line. Always assume it could be any of them, and investigate all avenues.

Interesting thread here. Defaulting to protocol SFTP could be the problem.
