router - high pitched squeal

hello
i just set up my router and its making a really high pitched squeal. its not loud but im EXTREMELY sensitive to noise and I already have a migraine because of it!!
can  i go back to using my other sky router? i had no problems with that and with this noise i will not be able to use the internet it will make me ill
is this normal? i did  a search and found other people had this issue too claiming the plus net routers are very poor quality
i hate the look of my old router but i cant cope with this noise!!

If it's not locked to Sky you can use your old router.

it depends on the router.
i bought a belkin n150 on ebay at a clearance price which seems to do the job.

If you contact Plusnet they should replace it as it is a known issue and has been discussed on here previously

I picked it up on saturday (it didn't fit the letterbox) and will install this week and try it out

Really?  Do you have an odd shaped letter box?  Just trying to work out how often they don't post through!

@Kelly, FYI mine wasn't put through letterbox even though it would have fitted perfectly.

ok finally installed the new router! its all fine and sending back the old one now.
my letterbox is standard, though it has those bristles inside, maybe that makes the height smaller, cos the height of the box matches my letterbox which is why it didn't fit.
