starkie1800, was it very windy your way Friday night through to Saturday night and a bit calmer now?
When you get home, it might be an idea to download Routerstats http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm if it'll work your modem/router, oh hang on, you've got a shop-full , so it's bound to work with one of them. Maybe the Lite version might be easiest to set up. We can see exactly what the noise levels on your line are doing.
I'd still get a fault raised, as Jojo has suggested, make sure the ticket states that you've already tried an alternative Modem/router and Filter in the Test socket.
With a bit of luck, the noise variations will make it easy for an engineer with the right bit of kit to pin-point the problem bit of cable fairly easily. Especially as it's forecast to get windy again!
