reporting a BT line fault

When it is windy my router looses the signal and has to be rebooted, as the copper line is a BT item I rang them ( spoke to a person within one minute) they told me I had to report the fault via my supplier. Plusnet support told me I would have to wait a min of 30 minutes to speak to someone, Is there another way to report the suspected fault. ?

Hi Knares, 


As we're you're phone supplier we'd need to deal with this for you. I've just tested your line but we're not seeing any obvious problems or faults being flagged up. 

 

With that in mind we'd need to arrange an engineer visit to look into this further. Just before we get into that have you tried lifting the handset to see if there's any noise present or if the dialtone goes away when the connection goes off?
