replacement modem

Currently using a voyager 210 wired modem. If it ceases to work should I just replace it with the same model or would there be any advantage in using any other type of (wired) Modem ? And if so what make of modem (and why) ?

Re: replacement modem

My personal opinion is that the 210's just as good as any other.

Re: replacement modem

I believe most routers run warm to the touch though the Voyager 210 is one of the warmest. This is normal, nothing to worry about even if permanently left on.
The main thing is to ensure any router has adequate ventilation, and don't stand anything on it - especially paperwork.
