i am planning on buying a replacement router and would appreciate recommendations...
i have an old pc which connects via Ethernet running vista, but mainly use a recently purchased acer netbook wirelessly running windows 8.1 and a fire tablet.
i have no tv, games or anything else to connect, and no kids so parental controls are not an issue.
appreciate any suggestions
thanks, sue

I can recommend the bullion bipac 7800n for long lines , we are a 4.8km from the exchange and since I have installed it my connection has been better and my sycn speed has increased and held, I bought mine second hand for £37

thanks for the suggestion, I don't have a problem with distance from the exchange; I've always had a perfectly good connection when everything is as it should be. it appears my problems may be with the router ~ I've been with plusnet over 4 years & have always been very happy but they will not supply a new router (even if it proves to be faulty) unless I take out a new contract... which i'm not willing to do, so.....
