"There is a problem with this website’s security certificate" from router !?

I get this message (and the screen attached) when attempting to log in to my Technicolor TG582n using IE11 - never happened before.
URL I'm using is https://192.168.1.254/
Interested to know if anyone else getting this and should I raise a ticket............

Can't say I've ever seen this before.
Does this happen if you don't type in https:// at the start?

Re: "There is a problem with this website’s security certificate" from router !?

If you try with a different browser (Firefox?) does it provide an option for you to view the security certificate?

Thanks for reply.
It does NOT happen if https:// is not typed so thanks for that.
It seems http:// is OK but https:// is not.
Thanks for your suggestion  Smiley

Thanks for the suggestion.
I keep forgetting to try another browser.
Chrome worked OK as it suggested not to use https:// ............
Message to self : Try another browser now and again !

Re: "There is a problem with this website’s security certificate" from router !?

From Firefox I get:
Quote
This Connection is Untrusted
You have asked Firefox to connect securely to 192.168.1.254, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.
Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?
If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.
Technical Details
192.168.1.254 uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because it is self-signed.
The certificate is only valid for Technicolor TG582n FTTC
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
I Understand the Risks
If you understand what's going on, you can tell Firefox to start trusting this site's identification. Even if you trust the site, this error could mean that someone is tampering with your connection.
Don't add an exception unless you know there's a good reason why this site doesn't use trusted identification.

I went to Add Exception... and then viewed the certificate. And then I noticed that the router's serial number (without the starting CP) is given for the Organisational Unit (OU). Firmware version is 10.2.5.2 FO.
