Sometimes, my router disconnects, and normal activity (e.g. attempt to go to web site) fails
to kick it back into life. When I log on to router it says 'Disconnected by Peer' as reason. The router is
a speedtouch 716WL. A forced connect in router reconnects. Any idea what this error is and what
causes it?
EDIT: Forgot to say, the router reports the DSL part of the connection as still ok, the internet connection
part is down. It does seem /sound like either BT or plusnet ('the peer') cause this?
A second question is, anyone know how or why the speedtouch needs a MANUAL attempt
to connect to get this specific error fixed? Anyone know if there a way round this? It's pretty blinking
useless, especially if e.g. I need to leave it on when out of the home. I had a look a while ago and couldn't
see anything.
Final question is, anyone recommend a WIFI / VOIP router that DOESN'T need this silly
logon/reconnect to get round this sort of thing - in case I decide to upgrade?
