port forwarding on TG585 v7 (running v8 firmware)

hi,
I've got a trusty tg585 v7 running the v8 firmware. I tried to put in a port map last night and when I clicked apply it just rebooted itself? A while ago I added a dyndns account to the router and that has now gone -  so I think its going back to a default configuration each time.
I seem to remember I had this on the old software and there was a way of turning it off, but I can't seem to find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
thanks

Hi AJJ,
I'm not quite sure what you're wanting to turn off.

Re: port forwarding on TG585 v7 (running v8 firmware)

Hi JoJo,
there is something that causes the router to go back to a default configuration on reboot. So when I make changes like adding in a dyndns username or adding a port mapping for games they are lost once the device reboots.
I seem to remember on the v7 there was a check box that you needed to remove to stop it from forcing a default configuration onto the router? but I might be getting confused in my old age!!
Any ideas why any configuration changes that I make to the router arent being saved?
