If you have a router - just leave that on and turn the PC off. If you have a modem you probably need to leave the PC on.

Depends if you use a modem or router. Basically we need the ADSL hardware connected to the line and powered, so if it's a modem the PC will need to be on as this is how the modem gets its power. If it's a router it's independent of the PCs it's connected to so as long as the router is powered and plugged in to the line you don't need any PCs on.
