pingtest graded as B and now slow dowload 0.2 speeds

I have a new bt home hub 3 directly connected to the master socket I am using a bt iplate.


My broadband just now came to a stand still but the speeds are fine but I have 25ms jitter for the first time ever. The slow loading stand still is normal I was hoping it was my old router.
What could be the issue is it the wire from socket to router ?.

I have just fitted another rj11 cable and I am having really poor download speed now I am normally 11.5.

Hi there,
Can't see anything this side that might be slowing you down, are BT speed test results (http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com) showing similar results? Your line profiles are showing you should be getting speeds around 12.5Mb.
If the BT wholesale results comes back showing similar to your speedtest.net results there please raise this to us as a fault at http://faults.plus.net and we'll get it investigated for you.

Everything is fine now I have no idea what happened but my speeds and jitter is fine now.

Hello again I have just checked the BT test again and all is fine but I have noticed this on the BT test.
Download speed achieved during the test was - 12 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 12.59 Mbps
Is it possible to get nearer the 21Mbps or am I capped at 11Mbps ?.
Only enquiring but would be awesome to get more speed for all our users :-).

Hi Chris I am connected to a BT iplate before I remove it and go directly into the master socket what exactly are you trying to find. Are you testing to see if I can achieve a faster connection ? I only ask because the master socket has a unit directly in front of it.

Would like to see if it does make any difference and also to rule anything internal out. It's not a necessity but will help identify if there are any issues.
