Your connection's still looking good but just waiting for the BRAS to lift, I'll keep an eye out for when it does and make sure your PN one is up to date.

Profile up 5000Kbps, SNR holding at 15.0 dB.
Question how long before my SNR returns to my normal 12dB weeks or months?
Happy at the moment but keeping fingers crossed its fixed...

Seeing that always cracks me up. It might as well say "the acceptable range of speeds is 0 to infinite".
I'd love to know what the engineer did for you. We're still having the same problems that you described (with the connection dropping repeatedly and the line speeds gradually lowering) but so far we've had no luck getting back to our whopping 1.6Mbps speeds.

That's creepy - we had exactly the same thing happen when our BT engineer popped out. He said he was going to do something at the cab, and we never heard from him again.
We sent out a search party consisting of our neighbours, friends, family, sniffer dogs, Ray Mears, and Bear Grylls, but we found nothing and gave up after three days.

He says when testing his modem he could not hear any noise but he never even picked up the phone?
Thinking now this will never get sorted only option is to leave and try TalkTalk LLU.

Yes I saw that and frankly can't believe it, especially as they require customers to try alternate routers before they come out. I've currently got one of the faults guys calling them to ask them what the heck is going on. He'll also call you and I'll update you on here also as soon as I get some news.

One of our faults team tried calling and left a voicemail. He's left his name so you can contact him directly if need be and also updated your ticket.
