parental controls in wifi

First of all let me start by saying, plusnet is by far the worst is I've used yet, nothing is straightforward and no answers seem to come easy via the help section, I'm st my wits end!
Previously had talk talk, which had 'online' parental controls, which worked really well even on wifi and mobile phone
However plusnet does not seem so simple!!?? Don't understand why-??!!
So I've downloaded plusnet protect to filter certain categorys, however it seems absolutely useless when it comes to using the wifi, everything is instantly accessible even though I've blocked it.
Can anyone help me fathom out how you get it work over wifi for mobiles etc??? Sad

Re: parental controls in wifi

We don't currently offer a parental control facility at the level you're looking for. Plusnet protect can be enabled on individual computers, however it won't stop mobile devices accessing content.

Re: parental controls in wifi

Try OpenDNS - it's free parental filtering for your whole network (wired/wireless) - http://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/parental-controls/opendns-home/
If you want to use it, you'll need help setting it up on your router.

Re: parental controls in wifi

You could change the DNS servers on the router to OpenDNS which does offer this facility http://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/parental-controls/
This explains how to do it http://npr.me.uk/
