Hey guys, i've had a good google and found a comment from JoJo back in 2010 saying that offpeak is truley unlimited, im just wondering if i can get a more updated clarification on where plusnet stands and whether fair usage applies? sorry to be a bother again so soon.

Plusnet staff are unlikely to respond here until after the holiday period, but usage outside chargeable hours is not counted against ones monthly allowance. Only on a small number of quite old legacy products is such usage subject to a design guideline.
Even outside chargeable hours traffic shaping might apply; by design an hour either side of charged hours for non-pro fibre products and for all products where paid-for usage has been exceeded.

Hi danielplatt ,
Really we monitor this on an individual basis. There is no limit as such, however is somebody was downloading 10Tb every night, then it is clearly something that we would have to investigate as it would look a little suspicious. Generally, I can't see you having any problems using the overnight usage. Hope this helps

Show me where I can get a connection like that!
Theoretically, you could download 3240GB a month; off peak and at a full 20Mb connection speed.

I don't think you need worry, Daniel - in 3½ years of monitoring these forums I've yet to see a complaint or comment from anyone about being capped on overnight usage.
