Hi Steve, have a look in p.s.customer-feedback and you'll see that you're not alone. I've been talking to Giganews about the problem but as yet they've been unable to locate any of the missing posts in their server logs. Can I ask what newsreader you're using?

I posted to alt.fan.pratchett at 22:24 on Tuesday and the post hasn't appeared as of 07:13 Wednesday.
Posting using Thunderbird, btw.

I'm using thundebird, but its worked fine in the past.
Its still not arrived and I don't see it if I look at the group via google so its got lost.

Based on experience I doubt it will turn up Steve, I'll look at getting a Service Status thread opened.

Just a 'me too': a posting to uk.d-i-y at 20:06 yesterday using Thunderbird hadn't appeared by 21:31 so I resent it.
Neither has appeared yet.

Service Status now posted, I'm waiting to hear back from Giganews but don't expect anything until tomorrow due to the time difference. I really hope this is something at their end as otherwise I can see it being an absolute nightmare to pinpoint.
I'm interested in hearing from anybody whose experiencing this problem but *isn't* using Mozilla Thunderbird.

Just had this back from Giganews:

Bob, something concerns me about this.
Giganews are a big NTTP provider. I find it hard to believe that no-one else had noticed this problem and reported it before. Its not like PN are their only customers.

I'm not sure it was a global issue. At worst I would imagine that it only affected their reseller feed, and other ISPs might not be as vigilant as us when it comes to reporting problems. Having said that, it might only have affected the Plusnet feed, I'm not sure to be honest.
