ok its on my desk/ with plenty of air around it ,,
is it ok to get a taft warm?

When I had problems with my central heating my router was my foot warmer, so yes they get warm but they shouldn't get hot then they can get flaky. Get some rubber feet for it and raise it, it doesn't need much to help.

Routers like all electrical devices do warm up after they've on a while, but don't worry they are built to take it and it's quite normal.
Just out of curiosity do you have a thermometer that you could use to take a reading next to the router? we'd be interested to know exactly how warm a taft is in all seriousness though if you can do that please let us know.

thanks for the reply.... i usually have the router on may be 2-3 times a day,,,its not boiling hot , just warmish
