new premium service stuck at fixed 2272 / 288

Hi there,
I've just got a new Plusnet Premium service and everything's gone smoothly so far except that I seem to be stuck at a fixed 2MB rate. It always syncs at exactly 2272 down, 288 up even though the PN profile is 7150.

Can anyone tell me if this is right? It hasn't been 10 days yet, but this doesn't seem right.
Thanks.

This seems to happen quite often.  Check out this thread:

@coastergrotto, that's not a stuck profile, the sync speed is 2272, so a 2000 profile is correct.
@spark3, I'm taking a look at your account now.

You're definitely on Max, and there's nothing strange showing so far.
We're going to need to see how it plays out over the 10 days (we can't raise a fault 'til after then anyway).

Mand, that's ridiculous, if those stats are anywhere near right, he's living in the exchange and should be syncing at 8M, he shouldn't have to wait 10 days.

I know, but you physically cannot raise a fault in the first 10 days (the system rejects it outright). Sad

I realise that, but I'd be on the phone to BTw if it were me and asking for it to be escalated if no-one were prepared to look at it.

I'm usually well up for an arguement with BTw :D, but IME arguing in this scenario has proved very much fruitless in the past.

Re: new premium service stuck at fixed 2272 / 288

Is there an option for MaxDSL to be locked at the old 2MB fixed rate connection speeds? Because that's what it looks like to me.
The 10 days is fair enough for iffy lines not performing as they might, or for the IP Profile not corresponding to the sync speed, but this looks like something very different.

Re: new premium service stuck at fixed 2272 / 288

Glad to hear it. You may still see a little fluctuation in speed given that you're in the first 10 days.
