new modem router

Hi
I've just got a new TP-Link 300 mbps wireless adsl2 modem router and need assistance.
I've connected to the router and its asking me for PPP username and password - what is this and where would I get them?
I put in what I thought it was bylut when I connect to the internet I get a service information page.
