Re: new here free-online user

Hi there and welcome to the forums Smiley
Your current product is upto 8Mb (ADSL Max).
As a free-online customer you can move to the new Plusnet products if you wish, though you'd have to move to Extra or Pro to get upto 20Mb (ADSL2+).
Hope that helps. Smiley

Re: new here free-online user

Welcome from another FOL customer!
I've found, since the various companies have been run concurrently, that to all intents and purposes there is no difference between being a FOL, and PN customer (except the connections details, email address and so on of course).  Changing package is as easy as a mouse click away (or if you need to speak to a real person, they're all up in Sheffield - only pretend people live outside Sheffield  ::))
If your present account includes web space or other services not included in the current packages, then you can keep those services if you want to.

Re: new here free-online user

the account details are correct.  Value is up to 8 M, with 10G usage per month
Extra is up to 20M, your line estimate is 12 M  throughput 60G per month
Pro as above but only 20G per month - those are on peak usage, off peak midnight to 8 am is unmetered
The costing also depend on the Market you are in, read the bottom of the first page I linked to
you can compare the speed throttling for the different packages here http://kitz.co.uk/isp/plusnet_shaping.htm
