I am on Force9 Broadband Your Way Option 2 and I too have recieved the email notifying me of my allowance limit being reached and I'll be charged £2 per 1gb.
Can I disregard this? Will the "normal" situation be in place for my product whereby the speed is reduced until my normal payment day?

I would say go to your member centre and check your settings, if you don't have an upper limit set and you want one, you better do it.
It should be 2Gb for £2, but whether you still get it in 1Gb chunks as do PN customers I don't know. Hopefullly one of the Comms team will see this and sort it.
