need to move router and pc

hi. i need to move my router and computer for a short while,after reading posts on here i gather it is not recomened to unplug the router or it will send some sort of fault back to the exchange and your speed could drop
if i disconnect the router manually in the router configuration manager then unplug it is that the best way to do it ,then reconnect later the same way ?

depends on the router, most but not all have a power switch on the router, this sends a good message to the exchange when shutting down

yeah router has a on/off button on back ,so i  just power down using that and all will be fine kk
