Re: my wife cannot get on line

Can you tell us what your wife is trying to use to get online please?
Equipment type, operating system, network (wi-fi) adapter details (if known) will all possible help.
Does your wife's equipment work on other wi-fi networks?
Any other details of the problem?

Re: my wife cannot get on line

I realise that your wife wants a wireless connection to the router but, as a first step to resolving this, can she access the internet from her computer by connecting to the router via ethernet?
I know you say that she cannot connect to the internet wirelessly through the router but can she access the router itself wirelessly using her browser?  If you are using a plus.net router the address should be http://192.168.1.254/.
Can your wife see the router in 'Wireless Network Connections' on her computer?
Silly question but she has created her 'Wireless Network Connection' with the correct password hasn't she - passwords are case sensitive.
Her 'Wireless Network Connection' does have the correct security setting, encryption type and security key settings for the router?
Has she tried deleting the 'Wireless Network Connection' and recreating it?

Re: my wife cannot get on line

If you were using a BT Home Hub hitherto and BT did not ask for it back then it is possible to use that as your router for Plusnet.  You would need to connect to the Home Hub and tell it your Plusnet user name and password; then it should work.

Hi cjc13,
Welcome to the community forum  Smiley
Have you managed to establish a wireless connection? It might be worth having a look through <a href="http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/wireless_broadband/wireless_connect.shtml">this</a>.
Let me know how you're getting on.

Or mine was set to http://192.168.1.1/
