low broadband speed

should be able to achieve 7mps and used to get close has now dropped to 1.2 mps  this happened with bt  changing provider fixed it ,
an openreach engineer visited said he had been notified of a no dialtone fault?  fitted a new box now i have no diatone and the broadband is the same contacted service online chat who said they would test it and notify me by text ....nothing

Until the phone fault is fixed your broadband speeds will be dire to non existent
