is my broad band speed about right

I did a speed test and I got the following:
down load mbps 18.38
upload mbps .86
ping 34.38
I have to admit I know little about this subject so can some one please confirm whether this is good /bad/or average
I am on ADSL2+ on West Auckland exchange

That's pretty good speeds for an ADSL2+ connection. Getting a throughput speed of over 18Mbps indicates you have a good line and are quite close to the exchange.

Thank you very much Chris I am pleased that everything appears OK.  You are right the exchange is just over my garden fence about 30 to 50 yards away
