is adsl line down in keighley????

please help
i cannot connect to internet- keeps saying no dial tone

im on a neighbours pc so will not have long on here
can someone please look into it

Hi,
Sorry to hear that you're having problems.
No dial tone (and I'm guessing error 680) is normally indicative of having no ADSL synchronisation.
I'd suggest trying the following:
- Try changing your microfilters
- Ensure that you are connecting via a filter, into your master socket
- Try using a different modem if possible
If you're still having problems, then raise a fault via http://faults.plus.net

ive changed micro filter and tried 2 modems
nowts changed on line etc
just got up at 7am and no connection
how do i raise a fault? a bit peeved due to only day i got up early to do some work lol

I'm in close by Bingley and it's OK. Have you tried to use your phone normally - is there a dial tone for that?
Have a look at the wire going from your house to the telegraph pole and check if something (a builder etc.) might have disturbed or broken it.
I've just seen Jamseh's post and he is more knowledgeable than I am. Still worth checking the line though.

Hi Paul,
No outages in Keighley that I can see.
If you just go to that link in my earlier post, it'll ask you a bunch of questions that you'll need to fill in and that will raise a fault for you.

just got round and its back on
It has been down 7 til now

cant see it having owt to do with my end so what could it have been ? ( for future purposes only

Hi Paul,
It's possible that it was a temporary fault at the exchange that BT didn't report as an MSO (Major Service Outage).
I'm glad it's now working
