Re: internet really slow last few days

See This thread
After you've given us some basic details, we can help you.
Has the internet been slow for me the last few days?...

Not at all, so is it the provider? no.
Changing provider 9/10 will just move the issue with you to the new provider. Giving us the above details should allow us to look into what is causing the slowness.

Quote
Router stats - noise margin, speed and attenuation (upstream and downstream).
Result of a BT speedtest http://www.speedtester.bt.com/
Current Line Speed from here (note that there doesn't appear to be an accessible equivalent for Madasafish customers)

Can you do the speedtest as indicated, and give the router stats, aswell as the current line speed from the plusnet members centre as detailed in the thread i linked.
Any speedtests you do, please do over a wired connection if possible, as this will rule out any local wireless interference causing slow speeds. (also will lower the latency and generally perform abit better)
I know its a PITA when you have a fault or its not working right, but these steps help identify the problem quickly

Hi aj1soad,
Was the BT speed test done via ethernet?

Re: internet really slow last few days

yes all the testes were done via ethernet. ive had the speed reset at the exchange because they had lowered it down due to the disconnects. it was ok for a day then i keep getting and error message and takes me to the router screen. now my speed has gone down to 1mb and still disconnects
