asked to start my own thread...
the internet has been quite intermittent of late, losing connection. and there's noise on the phone line. speeds have been quite poor, though today very good - when it's connected.

Sorry to hear about the issue first of all. No obvious pattern there but it looks like most disconnections are in the afternoon.

Diagnostics and a line test for the noise issue don't show me anything obvious but get this one logged anyway and we'll get you sorted: http://faults.plus.net

kahnbarsst,
A really useful set of data - thank you - we can now focus on your issues and not get the other user's thread confused.
The synch rate is somewhat below what might be expected for your line, it should be nearer 18M according to the Kitz calculator. I guess that might be related to the rather high error counts, some of which I note did not get reset (or there is an issue with the router) when you got the resynch.
Also (which is not good news) it looks like the DLM moved the target SNRM to 9dB on that last resynch. This might improve the stability, but that will be at the expense of synch speed.
Something is a miss here, I hope the fault checker Adam pointed to you finds the cause for you. and that BTOR can get it fixed promptly.

Quote @DCT - off topic...
What is the expectation for counter reset on the TG routers when the link is lost? Should they all reset on re-synch or re-establishment of PPP or does the router need a cold (power) boot to clear them all for sure?
I have mixed experiences of seeing the error counters being cleared and also them persisting between (hot) resynchs. May be until seeing this user's stats next to each other I have not looked with enough care?
The LoS counter has not reset.
The Error seconds counter appears as though it might have reset, but is reporting 65,538 which looks like one of those "suspect" binary figures - minus two?
I would not like to take a view on the FEC / HEC / CRC counts beyond stating that if they did reset, then they have gone 'galloping mad' in 9 seconds.
Also (which is not good news) it looks like the DLM moved the target SNRM to 9dB on that last resynch. This might improve the stability, but that will be at the expense of synch speed.
