intempo i.d. spirit 7" tablet pc

i dont know if anyone can help me but i bought a intempo i.d. spirit tablet pc to use wireless and connect to the internet with i have the thomson 585 router but the tablet pc will not connect to it for some reason i have tried using a static ip address which it comes up as connected but it wont load any web pages up or the app market. im all out of ideas if anyone could help me i would be very grateful thank you.
