gone in 60 seconds?

woke up this morning to find that my maximum speed is 1.6mbps after having a comfortable 13mbps for nearly 6 months plusnet are saying thats the fault is not at their end. Well which end is it plusnet because i have not changed anything and the router has not thrown a wobbley i have even asked it. It seems a little weird some might say the speed has been capped as its too coincidental that my speed maxs at 1.60 exactly on every speedtest
any help would be appreciated i have already done the reset after 20 minutes etc

That's your problem and until that lifts you are going to be pegged at a slower speed.
It is likely that you've had a low synch event. it should recover in a couple of days.

what exactly caused that and is there anyway to speed up the process of sorting it out?

Re: gone in 60 seconds?

sadly you're at the mercy of BT's dynamic line management of which there isn't a quick way to fix, can take up to 72 hours to move.
your router dropped and had a low synch around 2000 and as your stats report it's now at 16000

Re: gone in 60 seconds?

I had one last year at about 3 in the morning, nothing on the router log, mine took nearly three days to get back to normal  - And I was tucked up in the land of nod at the time
