fttc question

Can anyone give me a bit of advice. My exchange has just been upgraded to fttc and when I check my number for the speed I can expect it tells me 11.2mb. At the moment I'm getting 8.9mb on ADSL2+. It also tells me on another BT site that I can expect an uplift of 3.52 which should give me about 27mb. Any idea of what I should really get has if I'm only going up 2.2mb I can't see the point of upgrading to fibre.

Re: fttc question

Not really has the cabinet is on a main road and we live in an estate and the cable could run in several directions. But has I've said I get 8.9mb now so I reckon its knocked approx 1 mile off the cabinet to the exchange cable so my thinking is, I should get better than the BT estimate of 11.2mb.

Re: fttc question

Fibre works differently but the BT figure is notoriously conservative
