fibre upload speed hasn't improved still 1.6mb up

Got a email yesturday to say the upload speed would be improved today upto 9.5mb
but mine is still at 1.6mb upload ?

tried resetting the router there 5mins ago, but still no difference.

Sorry for the confusion but the email said that 'from the 25th September we'll be upgrading the speed', not that on the 25th everyone will have the faster speed. If you take a look further down the email it says ' the upgrade will take place automatically in the weeks following the 25th September'.

According to the BT tester my upload profile has increased overnight from 2mbps to 10 so thanks for that.
Not a moan, merely of interest, but have noticed that testing upload  speed using both mybroadbandspeed.co.uk and speedtest.net now give a result of 7.5 whereas the BT tester consistently shows a much lower figure at around 2 to 3.  Before today all would nearly always give a result of about  1.65.
Download tests by all three methods show around 35 or 36 which is obviously fine.

Checking your upload sync speed it hasn't budged from just under 10MB/s, are you connecting wired or wireless?
I'd make sure the test is performed wired and that you have no background programs running.
Let me know how you get on.

I would confirm my previous post that up to last night the BT Wholesale test reported that my upload profile was 2mbps and gave pretty consistent results of around 1.65, and this morning has gone up to 10 with 2 test results just now showed 4.22 and 3.84.  A mybroadbandspeed.co.uk test just gave a result of 7.486.
Normally I would have Outlook and Skype running in the background but for these tests I have shut these down.  The only background progs running are (obviously) IE8 and my antivirus protection (well known paid for suite).  WP Pro sp3, all current updates installed.
I am connecting wirelessly and appreciate that perhaps a wired test result would be more representative but with the location of my modem and router (right next to and connected directly to my BT socket) relative to my PC it is just not practical.  However all tests are done under exactly the same conditions.

Using a wired connection just eliminates another potential issue. If you could run another on the http://speedtester.bt.com and I will have a look into your results.
