fibre install question

A question for anyone who has had a recent fibre install.
I have a booked engineer visit for fibre upgrade, but have still got an old BT L J U type phone socket and not a modern NTE5.
Do Open reach  automatically fit a new NTE 5 for the fibre front plate or do we need to make a specific request for the NTE5 ?
Advice from anyone with similar experience appreciated.

Re: fibre install question

Haven't had a recent fibre install but have worked with openreach for work experience a few months back.
Yeah, they take off the old LJU and fit on a new NTE5 as standard. Vans usually have quite a few as spares in them.
Not relevant here but engineer I was working with thought it'd be more efficient if the old style NTE5's (ones with the T logo or BT piper) were replaced with the new Openreach ones too, to avoid faults coming from the faceplate later on.
Hope that helps.
