drastic speed reduction

My adsl has dropped to 1mbps and latency all over the place. Normal speed is a solid 6.9Mbps
I don't have time to wait 45mins on hold.
This happened previously and took weeks to get fixed (issue at local exchange)
Any chance someone can take a look please
no changes at my end.

ok it was fixed and now its down to 0.38Mbps again
this happened to me exactly the same time of year in 2011.
really frustrating tbh. we need our broadband at Christmas, for contacting relatives abroad.
please reset my line again so at least it will work for a few days over christmas.
I have done the usual, test with another router, changed the filter etc etc, and as usual its not my internal cabling at fault.

What has dropped, is it the sync speed or the data throughput?  Noise on phone line?

sync speed has now dropped since the snr was reset last night by PN.
no noise on the line (tested by PN)
this morning only getting 0.38Mbps down. Last night it went up to 0.99 for a while after the reset.
Sods law it happens just now as, I know Santa is bringing items that will need huge updates. Also need to skype family abroad.

I've just tested your connection and it seems to be syncing at 8128 Huh

Hi Harry,
I am at work at the moment, but I have phoned home and got my son to do the bt wholesale test which is reporting 6.7Mbps down, which is great news.
Was anything done to fix it? or is there an intermittent issue
