Re: constantly dropping out

Do you get dropouts if you use a wired connection?

Re: constantly dropping out

Is the router in the telephone master socket? Do you have any other sockets, if so is anything plugged in to them and is anything plugged in to any socket filtered?

Re: constantly dropping out

Are the drops associated with when you use the telephone?

Re: constantly dropping out

no infact my phone is almost never used, the drops are random lasting usually only until i refresh the page again although it sometimes goes down for 5 mins or so, it can happen anything from few times a day to every other page viewed

Re: constantly dropping out

Hi scotslass86,
the graph below shows your connection over the last week and it's rock solid. Have you checked the power saving options to make sure there's no timeout set?

Re: constantly dropping out

That sounds like a wireless connection dropping out - you said it was happening wired!

still dropping out constantly!

still not got this problem solved, internet is either coming up 'ie in not responding' with the plus net bars on comp greyed out and staying unresponsive until page refreshed or im getting a loss of internet over and over again with the thomson gateway page saying 'no broadband found connection not active'! sometimes for several minutes, during this the computer shows plusnet is connected with all bars full, this is becoming very irritating and it seems the longer into the contract i get with plusnet the worse my service seems to get at the start it was perfect, hopefully i can get this resolved

Topics merged for continuity.
Have Plusnet offered to supply an alternative router assuming that you haven't one you can borrow
