connection dropping

I've been with plusnet a week now and I'm having connection problems
my broadband line keeps dropping with the log message - Mar 6 18:41:44 xDSL linestate down
I've switched off wireless and I'm only using wired
When it goes the best solution seems to be to switch off the router for 5 minutes otherwise it won't connected
when it comes back it works for a while then dies again
Could it be the firmware ?
Product Name: TG582n
Software Release: 8.4.4.J
I've changed the adsl filter
Any suggestions ?

Re: connection dropping

Got fed up with it lasting 30 minutes then dropping
I've tried resetting and restarting I still don't get a connection
the only thing that works is switching off, the time it is off is proportional to the length of time it will stay up
I've just gone back to my netgear router - been up 10 minutes now

Re: connection dropping

Hi there,
Your line appears to have been fairly stable on a whole;

Is everything still working OK with your Netgear router?

Re: connection dropping

The Netgear has worked fine all night (so dat)
Thanks for the graph but no one has been home since Friday at about 6, so the only time it's had any pressure at all it's failed
I'll leave the netgear in place for a while to see how that gets on with dropping out

Re: connection dropping

Would it be possible to do another 'uptime' graph?
Think it's been perfect, but it would be nice to confirm that
