Hey guys
I recently got a letter though the door stating that some work was going to be carried out near my flat and that the power would probably go out.
I returned home later that day to find very poor speeds.I then done some tests to see what was going and it seems that the power was on and off all day causing my router to keep having to re-sync.
Looks like this has lead the exchange to think my connection is unstable and lowered my ip profile
This Test comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Download Speed
122 Kbps
0 Kbps 7150 Kbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 122 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :6688 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 140 Kbps
My problem is my connection has now been stable for 60 hours and no raise of ip profile
Uptime: 2 days, 11:35:34
DSL Type: G.992.1 annex A
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 6,688
Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 25.24 / 163.97
Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.5
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 3.0 / 5.0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 19.0 / 14.5
Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / TSTC
Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
Loss of Link (Remote): 0
Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 0
CRC Errors (Up/Down): 268 / 3,158
HEC Errors (Up/Down): 83 / 2,094
I know that the ip profile can take a while to back up but 60 hours is ridiculous to have not went up any at all.

@bazdc2
I've just performed some diagnostics which shows me that the line has been set to a 135kbps profile. I've just submitted and SNR reset which should fix that within a couple of hours.

Thank you Adam
I knew my bt ip profile was set at 135kbps any ideas why it wouldn't of updated after 60 hours
My pn profile is still at 6000kbps though
Estimated line speed:
Not recorded (service activated before we introduced estimates).
Current line speed:
6 Mb
Is the pn profile likely to update if i get a higher bt ip profile as i have had trouble with the pn profile not matching the bt one
like just now still at 6000kbps even though bt is 135 kbps not moaning though as it higher than it should be just now.
Regarding the SNR reset i have always been on a SNR of 15db which i always thought was high for my line (is 3db default).
Would i be likely to see higher sync speeds i sync around 6,688kbps at the moment but with a line attenuation of only 5.0db
i really should have no problem syncing at the full 8128kb/s
cheers Baz
