I have remove the T3 on the other BT socket as well.  The max data rate I can get from this socket is about 8.5 Mb.  not bad though as good as the other one.    However, if I put in an extension telephone cable to one of the socket for the use of the other phone.  The max data rate will drop to around 5.5Mb to 6.0Mb.    Because I have to moved the router up stair/downstair, turning it on and off etc  many times.... The line stats may show there is a lot of lost connection which is man made.
Can PlusNet support team  just turn the ip profile to higher instead of waiting for a few days please.  If the line cannot cope with it, it will show up very quickly.

Not right now, as I'm afraid you are syncing at 2Mbit. The line is banded as suggested above, and the line is not stable.

You don't think that might be due to disconnecting to remove the ring wire that was causing the problem in the first place then!

Has plusnet forget about this one?  Last posted by Plusnet staff was on 29-July.  The line is stable imo.  With only 2Mb capped DS, I can't even watch bbc iplayer in HD.

Sorry for the delayed response.
It looks more stable as shown below.

I've reset the line and it should go through in the next 15 to 30 minutes.

however, in the speed test and bt wholesale test.    still only showing slow speed even though the ip profile has been up.  Do I need to do anything on this side?  Thanks.

Woops I forgot to increase the profile on our end.
If you log into your router and disconnect then reconnect that should do the trick.

Thanks for that. The DS is obviously much improved after the reset, let's hope it remains like that. The US seems a little odd though, it looks like it has a target SNR of 12db , strange!, it ought to have been set back to 6db following the line reset ?? maybe Matthew could have a look at the line parameters following the reset.

The line is definitely on a 6db target on both the downstream and upstream.
"WBC 160K - 24M Medium delay (INP 1) 6dB Downstream, UC Low delay (INP 0) 6dB Upstream (ADSL2+)"
