Could it be worth trying a shielded ADSL cable from socket to router? Just thinking if it's an evenings only issue it could be down to electrical interference from heating or street lights or something similar. Not sure if the shielded cable would help but if it's not too pricey it might be worth a go. Otherwise you're into the realms of turning things off and on and checking the surrounding area to see if there's anything obvious.

will try that matt , at the moment i am using a 5mt Cat6 UTP cable which i got from maplins.
basically it runs across one side of room to the master socket and the router is at the master socket, the cable goes round the chimney breast and along the skirting board to the router on the floor behind the TV , which sits on a stand 500 mm above the floor , no dvd player or sat reciver near , and the Tv is on during the day so i couldnt see that  causing any problems night only ?
am just hoping that soon    BT enable the FTTC box outside my house March they say

I'm seeing 19788K sync with a few errors and 3dB SNR. Maybe this needs setting higher. What issues are you having at the moment?

my normal speed is 15.5mbs up .99 my ping is 20ish , normal surfing is fiine some probs with  iplayer etc but not so  bad ,  But my gaming is terrible some times, evenings mostly i get constant disconects from servers high pings  :(.
i have miniaml progs running windows services tweeked unneeded ones dissabled , i run C cleaner at least once a week , Malwarebytes also , and i have MS security essentials & firewall running updated all drivers to latest win7  64 .
any chance of finding out a better date for FTTC from BT rather that just sometime in march

I am the same m8, as soon as it hits 10 PM my gaming goes to pot.
BB stats are exactly the same as in the day time / early evening but as soon as 10 PM comes I struggle to hit anything.
example, same server, same map (seine crossing) 9 PM (joined halfway through the map) 35 kills 8 deaths......... after 10 PM playing the full map 19 kills 23 deaths.
I am on the old premium package where gaming is @ line speed all the time so I can't work it out. It's been like this for years.

Yup as soon as it gets to 7-8 oclock it starts for me 
the wierd thing is its not every night , but 3 - 4 nights a week , could it be weather related ?

Hi guys,
I would suggest popping a ticket in with what game it is and a wireshark capture when it's being funky, we can then check that it's prioritised correctly.
