We have been having problems with our broadband dropping recently. Just received a reply from Plusnet that they are turning on interleaving which they say may help line stability but could cause problems for gaming. My son plays World of Warcraft most nights when home from uni. Is this likely to cause him problems? Grateful for advice whether this likely to be a serious problem or just a small/hypothetical risk.
Its mostly an issue with FPS games, so he may well not notice, how much an effect it has depends on your base latency and the level of interleaving applied, I suggest let them turn it on, and if your son doesnt notice then leave it, otherwise ask them to put fast path back on after.
