Currently my connection synch is 8128/448 with an IP of 7150. 6-years ago, I set the RWIN based on the formula :-
RWIN = 8 x N x (MTU - 40), using an MTU of 1500, with XP.
Where N = whole No and "8" is Connection Rate to nearest Mbps.
The formula from the Plusnet site.
I will shortly be connected to the 20Mbps service and wondered how this formula should be adapted. Should "8" be replaced with "20" or by the actual download speed to nearest Mbps?
I have received info from Plusnet that suggests the latter, viz "12" if actual download speed is 12,000kbps, which doesn't reconcile with the original formula. Perhaps I did not make my query clear.
Can anyone offer me guidance?
Regards

Yes, increase RWIN linearly according to connection speed.
I'm on ADSL2+ running at around 20mbps. My RWIN is 528000 though I can't recall exactly what value of N I used.

Many thanks HPsauce.
Do you mean increase RWIN proportionately? I would have thought the MTU remains the same.
Do you actually get 20Mbps download speed? Or is that your Synch speed?
Using Kitz's "Max dsl Speed Calculator," my estimated likely connection will be a Synch of 17,056kbps and IP Profile of 15,000kbps

Apparently Win 7 does it http://www.sevenforums.com/network-sharing/11145-rwin-tweaking.html autom atically.
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.
