Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

OK, that's fine. Completely clarifies that there are no internal wiring or extension lead issues to worry about the way you have things connected.
The reason for the questions about the Sky box is because some sky boxes (usually older ones) have power supplies that start failing and giving out lots of interference that affects broadband, so that's something we want to keep an eye on.
Can you post another lot of TG582n Full DSL stats now so we can see how the errors are changing, and also some more this evening sometime. I'll also explain a bit about how your speeds can be affected by things like your current IP Profile this evening.
Whilst you are logged into the TG582n getting the stats, can you click on <Technicolor Gateway> on the left hand menu, and tell me what it says for Software Release towards the centre of the screen. Don't post the serial number.

Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

OK, there is a firmware upgrade, 8.4.4.J may not be the best on your connection. 10.2.2.B may help stabilise things a bit.
Those errors are not good, quite an increase in the last 2 hours.
Edit: sorry NOT good,  just edited on spotting mistake.

Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

Anotherone has suggested that we update the firmware on your router, which is actually a fine suggestion. However the person that would be able to do this for me is proving very elusive at the moment! If I can grab him today I'll update this thread, alternatively it may be tomorrow before I'm able to follow this up.

Re: adsl 1 or adsl 2

Well done Chris.
I think with the upgraded firmware pushed, that will certainly help - you'll have to set up your wireless connection afresh when it's done, it certainly won't make matters worse and should improve things.
Post back some more stats this evening then pegasus20 and we'll see how things are going.

I'll get in touch before we do it as it means you'll be offline very briefly.
