Re: a Pipe just take a swan dive? thn-ag1 sickly

Hiya,
Looking at our graphs there isn't anything obvious.  None of the LTSs appear to have dropped at all.
Can you try rebooting and see if you continue to see the same problem?

Re: a Pipe just take a swan dive? thn-ag1 sickly

Yep my first action after I did a couple of traces, I'm currently on ptn-ag2 and still not 100%.  When doing a trace with pingplotter I'm getting 100% PL from hop 1 onwards for about 20 seconds, then results start being received.
http://forums.anarchy-online.com/ site im trying to use and game server I use to trace is 64.210.208.34, I know about savvis.net having issues they always do for us euro's but this is this side of the pond.

Hop 1 being your router?
That's interesting - did you actually reboot your router or did you just drop the connection and re-establish?

Re: a Pipe just take a swan dive? thn-ag1 sickly

@barry I don't count my router in traces so hop 2, which was ptn-ag2 and now current pte-ag1 as my connection got dropped.
Speed wise and getting to that site it has cleared up, why I suspected a dropped pipe and an overload somewhere.

Re: a Pipe just take a swan dive? thn-ag1 sickly

Well, there's been something strange going one somewhere! Couldn't even pop my PN mail at 1507 approx. Host not found. Popped elsewhere ok though. Done it since.
Even had trouble getting onto local police website. Got on on a retry.
Things seem a little faster now.

Re: a Pipe just take a swan dive? thn-ag1 sickly

Possibly not relevant but on Sunday a speedtest on bbmax gave 1300kbps as did the BT test. Just repeated and got the same results.
Changed to RIN and speedtest gave 2400kbps, changed back to PlusNet and also 2400kbps.
Unfortunately I didn't check which gateway I was on but I am now on thn-ag1
Stable rate is 2500kbps

I had a blip around the same time as Gus' second one, lost connection to MSN messenger and PSN.
UK sites were working ok though..

thn-ag1 seems to be a bit laggy tonight, fast then slow, will reboot my router and see if it solves it.

Re: a Pipe just take a swan dive? thn-ag1 sickly

For some reason, Google, Youtube and a myriad other sites are laggy as hell tonight.  It's taking forever to view even small videos on Youtube.  Yet last night it was working just fine and dandy!
