Hi. Been with plus net for nearly a month now. For the last 2 weeks i have had a consistent speed 6 - 6.4mb (this was after the training period). As of 3 days ago router sync was down as was my speed to 3 - 3.5mb. I have done a speedtester bt test, results are:-
Download speedachieved during the test was - 3221 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 3500 Kbps
Current router stats
Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 19 db 5 db
Noise Margin 11 db 25 db
Phone exchange:
UPPINGHAM
Estimated line speed:
8Mb (Accurate to within +/- 1Mbit) - Checked on 2011-08-25 20:16:00
Current line speed:
6.5 Mb
Previous ISP the ip profile was above 7000kbps. So somehow the profile has dropped?.

A sync speed of 8128kbps should give an IP Profile of 7150kbps. How long is it since your sync speed increased from the low 4000s (which would give an IP Profile of 3500kbps) to 8128? The IP Profile should increase again automatically in 1-2 days.

Sorry, Should of said. I reset the router a couple of times this morning and the sync came back to 8128. Before the resets sync was low 7000kbps with ip profile the same as now 3500kbps.

Since I don't have access to your sync speed history I can only guess that when you noticed speeds were in the low 3000 kbps region your sync speed had dropped to the low 4000s, resulting in an IP Profile of 3500kbps. If you leave the router on 24x7 now I'd expect the speed to pick up again in a couple of days.

Hi there,
Looks like both sides (ours and BTs) have now updated to 7150, are you seeing the same?
