Worth going for ADSL Max?

Hi,
I've just been connected via plusnet for a speedy 512kb downstream as I am out in the boondocks, the exchange checker says I could get ADSL Max at 1.5mb so my question to the broadband gurus is should I go for this? I've seen others state that going for MAX has caused connection problems.
If any mods are watching can they confirm the prices involved for going to MAX as there doesn't seem to be much info on the plusnet site about it...

Hi Craig,
You're already on MAX as it happens. But as you're so far away from the exchange that's why you won't get high speeds. I have looked into it and there isn't a better rate we can ask for.

Don't knock the yoghurt pots, I'm pretty sure they really did work.
