Re: Firmware for Technicolour TG582n router

My router is always on.
I hope that the new Firmware will improve the wireless signal, as its very patchy

Wireless signal issues Techicolour TG582n router

Having problems with the wireless signal. Having to manually select a different channel regularly, and connection drops.  Any ideas?

Re: Wireless signal issues Techicolour TG582n router

It sounds like an interference problem. Have your tried running inSSIDer free to check your wireless environment and see what other routers are around you. If you have the 10.2.5.2 Firmware you can try running http://192.168.1.254/WIFI_Analyzer.lp see what that shows. There's also free apps for mobile from the various stores - WiFi Analyzer is one such from Googleplay for Android.

Is this after Chris has pushed out the firmware upgrade or has that not happened yet. Could be off not seen a post for a day or 2
@ AO Maybe these threads should be combined?

Yep, I agree.  Poster has 3 threads running and are relevant to this issue. Chris hasn't been on so upgrade may not have happened.  Perhaps welshguy2010 could check.  Hopefully a mod can merge the 3 threads.
